Petty Officer First Class Corey George Ingram 28 of Poughkeepsie died August 21, 2017 in Singapore.

Born in Poughkeepsie, New York on December 12, 1988, Petty Officer Ingram is the son of Hubert and Jacqueline Ingram.

Petty Officer Ingram is a graduate of Krieger Elementary, Poughkeepsie Middle, Poughkeepsie High School and attended Dutchess Community College.

Petty Officer Ingram has been an active member of the United States Navy for the last nine years. He is a member of the VFW Post 170 in Poughkeepsie, New York and he enjoys cooking, joking around and watching Syracuse Basketball.

Petty Officer Ingram is survived by his loving family; mother and father Jacqueline and Hubert Ingram; brother, Darren Ingram; sister, Megan Ingram; grandmothers Laurel Johnson and Myrtle Ingram,  and grandfather Phillip U. Johnson; aunts Colleen Issacs, Maxine Johnson, Barbara Ingram-Alfred, Beverly Thomas, Gloria Ingram-Smith, Christine Johnson, Arlene Johnson, and Tonya Ingram; uncles Phillip Johnson, Errol Johnson, Oliver Johnson, Miquel Johnson, Casbert Ingram, Phil Ingram, Ted Ingram, Delroy Smith, Joe Alfred and Milford Thomas; cousins Phylicia Isaacs, Sherona Gardner, Shevon Gardner, Loxcia Coston, Brianna Johnson, CJ Thomas, Kamar Thomas, Karen Thomas, Andrea Ingram, Andrew Ingram, Nichola Ingram, Danielle Smith, Courtney Smith, Jason Smith, Brandon Alfred, Matthew Alfred, Ryan Alfred, Brian Ingram, Erik Ingram, Monye Ingram, Takiyah Ingram, Rashawn Ingram, Bridgette Ingram, Jenieve Peterkin, Ayana Armstrong and Ahmad Christian; godfather, Devon Gardner and godmother/aunt Sharon Ingram. Corey is also survived by his best friends Dana Coker, Vincent Veltre, Mark Jones, Jazmin Brooks, Pat York, Ismael Plaza, Andrew Thompson, Terrance Clark, Jermaine Ottey, Danielle Palmer, Sharlene Daley and many more.

Visitation for Petty Officer 1st Class Corey G. Ingram will be held Monday September 11, 2017 from 12pm to 6pm at the VFW Post 170 Vail-Wolff McKenna-Frye Post at 1 Violet Ave. Poughkeepsie, New York 12601. There will be a One Hour visitation from 10am to 11am and Funeral Services with Full Military Honors Tuesday September 12, 2017 11am at the Mid-Hudson Civic Center, 14 Civic Center Plaza Poughkeepsie, New York 12601. Burial will follow at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery Poughkeepsie, New York.

Donations towards a scholarship fund in the name of Petty Officer 1st Class Corey Ingram can be made to the VFW Post 170 at 1 Violet Ave. Poughkeepsie, New York 12601.
