Obituary of Frances M. Morteo

Frances M. Morteo 90 of Poughkeepsie died Sunday October 15, 2017 at Home. Born in Fondi Italy on November 16, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Gaetano and the Late Maria DiFazio Forte.

Frances was a local resident most of her life. She was a graduate of Millbrook High School and a member of Holy Trinity Church. Frances loved to sew, enjoyed working outside and her family was the most important part of her life.

On November 9, 1947 she married Eugene D. Morteo at St. Josephs Church in Millbrook, New York. Eugene predeceased her on May 26, 1985.

Frances is survived by her children JoAnne Liguori and her husband Ron Ross of Rhinebeck, NY., Jeanne Gittere and her husband Edward of Lagrangeville, NY., Barbara Whittaker and her husband Garry of Poughkeepsie, NY. and Anne Dinio of Pleasant Valley, NY. Frances is also survived by her brother Anthony J. Forte of Millbrook, her grandchildren Nick Liguori, Matthew Gittere, Brett Gittere, Rachael Whittaker, Hillary Parrish, Calvin Dinio and six great grandchildren.

Frances was also predeceased by her three brothers Salvatore, Guido and Frankie Forte, her sister Carmella Sottile and her son In-law Ronald Dinio.

Burial and Funeral Service will be private and at the convenience of the family.
