Obituary of Nigel Franklin Johnson

Nigel Franklin Johnson, a lifelong resident of Poughkeepsie, NY died on November 26, 2017 in Poughkeepsie.  Born on August 2, 1989, he was the son of Frankie Burton and Angela F. Johnson.  Nigel attended City of Poughkeepsie School, as well as Dutchess Community College.  He was currently employed at the Dollar Tree.  Known for his giving personality and charm, a humble soul with a charismatic attitude, he was a natural born leader who was beloved by all his peers. Nigel spent most of his time writing songs about his life with lyrics that were inspirational to many people in the community.  Whenever he got behind the mic, he was known as "Spizzy Sparkz".  Raised by a close knit family, Nigel was predeceased by maternal grandparents Ayo Malone, Anthony Hanley and lifelong friend Loyld Johnson (Bankz).  He leaves at home to cherish fond memories, his parents Angela and Frankie, sister Neshaon and (Nephew), brothers Barry and J.O., two uncles Lapse and Unk, his special aunts Mona, Belinda, Rosina, his cousins Diz, Fresh, Daquan, Ayane, Sharmar, JoJo and Patrick.  Also surviving his is maternal great-grandmother Dorothy Hanne, special friend Romeo, with a host of many family, friends and loved ones to treasure his music memories and unforgettable smile.  Family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at the Timothy P.
