Obituary of Arthur " Art " R. Scea

Arthur "Art" R. Scea, 90 of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2017. Arthur was born on November 20, 1927 in Poughkeepsie, NY to the late Vernon and Nettie Ostrander. He married Shirley Rose DuBois on October 9, 1949 in Poughkeepsie, NY and survives at home.

A local resident all his life, Arthur was a graduate of Arlington High School and proudly served in the United States Marine Corp. He was employed as a driver for Wonder Bread until his retirement in 1993 and was also a member of Local 550. Arthur was a member of the 1st Baptist Church in Poughkeepsie, NY. He was a good family man, enjoyed watching Westerns, fishing and was a Mets and Yankees fan.

In addition to his wife Shirley, Arthur is survived by his 3 sons, Ken and Richard Scea both of Poughkeepsie, NY, Andrew Scea of Highland, NY, daughters Rose Pool of Poughkeepsie, NY, Stephanie Walter of Santa Rosa, CA, granddaughter Jennifer Scea of Highland, NY, sister Rita                        

 Landergreen of Washington State and brother Ronald Ostrander of Ohio. He is predeceased by his son-in-law Donovan Pool.

Calling hours will be held at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc. 371 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603 on Sunday, December 17, 2017 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm. Funeral Services will take place at the Funeral Home on Monday, December 18, 2017 at 10:00am. Entombment will follow at the Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery Mausoleum, Poughkeepsie, NY
