Obituary of Lance Mininger

Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Robert T. Mininger 21 of Sellersville PA. was Killed in Action in Iraq On June 6, 2005 Born in Sellersville February 26, 1984, Son of Thomas W. Mininger of Sellersville and Paula (Luke) Zwillinger, formerly Paula Mininger, of LaGrangeville New York. Bob graduated from Pennridge High School in 2002 and continued his education at Montgomery County College where he studied computer engineering and criminal justice. Bob enlisted in the Marine Corps in June of 2004, beginning boot camp at Parris Island in September 2004, Bob Was assigned to Camp Lejeune, N.C. to complete his School of infantry training. He was deployed to Iraq in January 2005. Bob had a passion for life, the love of his life Erica Lehneis and the Marine. He proudly earned the National Defense Service medal, Global War on Terrorism Medal, Global War on terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Combat Action Ribbon and the Purple Heart. Surviving with his parents is a Brother Gregory Mininger of Sellersville, Maternal Grand Parents Thomas and Rose Luke of Harleysville, Paternal Grandmother Adella Mininger of Florida, Step Father Larry Zwillinger of Lagrangeville NY, Step brother Andrew Zwillinger of New York City, Step Sister Laura Foulger of London England and Many Loving Aunts Uncles and Cousins. Calling Hours will be Monday June 13, 2005 at the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home 701 Derstine Ave. Lansdale PA. 6pm to 9pm. Calling Hours will also be held at Zwingli United Church of Christ 350 Wile Ave Souderton PA Tuesday June 14, 2005 11:30 am to 1:00 Pm Followed at 1pm by the Funeral Services. On Thursday June 16, 2005 At 6pm a Celebration and Service for Cpl Mininger will be at The First congregational United Church Of Christ 269 Mill Street Poughkeepsie New York. Guests May voluntarily share their memories of Bob as we Pay Tribute to are American Hero. Lance Cpl Mininger will be laid to rest with full United States Marine Corps Military Honors on Monday June 20, 2005 at 11am at The Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia. Memorial Donations may be made to Semper Fi Parents of the Hudson Valley, NY (a Marine support group founded by Paula Zwillinger) 15 O'Hare Drive LaGrangeville NY 12540.
