Obituary of Maria V Yanez

Maria Victoria Yanez, 67, of Poughkeepsie, NY died on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie, NY. Maria was born on October 12, 1950 in Medellin, Columbia to the late Jorge I. and Marie L. Obando Gomez. She married Manuel Yanez on January 31, 1973 at Sacred Heart Church in Mount Vernon, NY and survives at home.

A local resident for 26 years, Maria was strong in faith and loved decorating and flowers. She was a member of the Faith Assembly of God.

In addition to her husband, Maria is survived by her two sons, Jesse M. Yanez of Manhattan, NY, Joshua (Anna F.) M. Yanez of Westbrook, ME, a daughter, Stephanie M. Yanez of Eastchester, NY, 9 siblings, Jorge, Carlos, Alvane, Elena, Mima, CeCe, Ruben, Olga, Edwin as well as many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, November 10, 2017 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc. 371 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. Funeral Services will take place on Friday, November 11, 2017 at 11:00am at the Faith Assembly of God, Route 9, Poughkeepsie, NY. Burial is private at the convenience of the family.
