Obituary of Barbara O. Meyers

Barbara O. Mezger Meyers, 86, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at the Hudson Valley Rehab. & Extended Care Center in Highland, NY.  Born on December 11, 1931 in Briarcliff Manor, NY she was the daughter of the late Kenneth Churchill and Cleo Marie (Carrier) Oakley.  Barbara was a homemaker, she loved to garden, cook and bake and play cards. Many of people will always remember her for her infamous “chocolate chipper” cookies. She loved being near her family. She is survived by two daughters, Diane E. Rielly of Greenfield Park, NY and Darlene S. Weir of New Paltz, NY, her two brothers William Oakley of Punta Gorda, FL and Raymond Oakley of Ossining, NY and her sister Carol Scott of Carmel, NY.  Also surviving are her grandchildren; Jessica Robinson, Megan Weir, Michael Rielly, Rebecca Rielly and Kevin Rielly, as well as her great-grandchildren Levi Robinson, Jack, Ava, Liam, Madyson and Myla Rielly.  If desired donations may be made in her name to the Alzheimer's Association.
