Obituary of Jon D. Littlefield

Jon Littlefield, Sr., (Jack) of Poughkeepsie and Virgilina, VA died on Friday, August 3, 2018.  He was 77 years old.  Jon was born March 9, 1941 in Watertown, NY.  He was the son of the late Brayton and Ruth Aloan Littlefield.  Jon attended Buffalo and Kenmore Schools. Jon served in the U.S. Army from 1960-1962.  He was a member of the American Legion Post 37.  Jon was a member of the Random Riders Motorcycle Club and the Old School Car Club in Alton, VA.  Jon was a lifelong Buffalo Bills Fan and made once a year trips from Poughkeepsie to see them play. Jon worked for NY State for 36 and 1/2 years, retiring in 1995 from Green Haven Correctional Facility.  After retirement, he worked for Marist College Security.  John is survived by his wife Susie Littlefield and five children; Suzanne White and her husband Eric, Eric Littlefield and his wife Kristin, Jon Littlefield, Jr. and his wife Ann, Valerie Littlefield and Natasha Littlefield.  Four grandchildren: Leanne Littlefield, Jashua Greene, Jahiem Green and Jason Moore.  He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  In addition, he is survived by special friends Betsy McLain and Polly Blue. John was predeceased by his parents and his sister Judith Rooks.  He was also predeceased by his best friend Thomas McLain. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, August 8, 2018 from 6:00-8:00pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603.  The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at 11:00am at the Second Baptist Church, 36 Vassar St. Poughkeepsie, NY and burial will follow in Union Cemetery, Hyde Park, NY.  To send online condolences, please visit our website at www.doylefuneralhome.com
