Obituary of John R. Chance Jr.

John Randolph Chance, Jr. passed away December 31, 2018, at the age of 80. Randy was born and raised in Poughkeepsie before attending college at Oklahoma University.

Dallas was to become his new home where he began a successful career in trucking sales and ultimately ran his own business in the same field. He had a passion for classic cars, cooking, and jazz. His service in the 2nd Armored Division, "Hell on Wheels," seemed quite appropriate. He was preceded in death by his parents, John "Jack" Chance and Bernice Chance of Poughkeepsie. Randy is survived by his wife, 4 children, 5 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. Services will be arranged by Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home of Poughkeepsie with interment at St. Joseph Cemetery on January 12, 2019
