Obituary of Mary Ann Jordan

Mary Ann Jordan passed from this world on January 26, 2019.  Mary was born in 1933 to Slovakian immigrants, Andrew and Anna Pavlick, and was raised in Beacon, NY; graduating from Beacon High School in 1950.  After graduation, Mary met her future husband, Tom Jordan, and they were married in 1954 at St. Joachim's Roman Catholic Church in Beacon, a marriage that lasted for 57 years until Tom’s passing in 2011.  Mary worked at Central Hudson in Poughkeepsie and later worked until her retirement as the secretary in the guidance counselors’ and principal’s offices at Poughkeepsie High School.  Mary was a parishioner of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Poughkeepsie for many years, and most recently was a member of Holy Trinity parish.  Mary is predeceased by her daughter Joy Jordan, her sister, Cecilia McCasland, her brothers, Andrew and Father Michael Pavlick, S.M., and her parents.  She is survived by her children: Thomas Jordan and Michael Jordan of Poughkeepsie, Diane Jordan of Fishkill, Kathy Jordan Chadwick, of Williamsburg, VA, Dan Jordan of El Paso, TX, and 9 grandchildren.  Written with love by her sons and daughters.

Calling hours will be held Thursday January 31, 2019 from 4pm to 8pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home 371 Hooker Ave. Poughkeepsie, New York 12603. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday February 1, 2019 11:30am at Holy Trinity Church 775 Main Street Poughkeepsie, New York 12603. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery Poughkeepsie.
