Michael Thomas Kinzel, 53, passed away on January 27th, 2019 at Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Michael was born in Brooklyn, New York on September 30th, 1965 and grew up in Putnam Valley before moving to Poughkeepsie. He worked at UPS as a driver for roughly 28 years; he enjoyed his work and formed friendships with many of his colleagues. Michael was a true outdoorsman, enjoying activities such as metal detecting, four-wheeling, kayaking, fishing, and simply exploring nature. Devoted to his Christian faith, Michael was an avid listener of Christian radio station, the Sound of Life. Among all of his interests, Michael most enjoyed reading the Bible, reading Christian stories and learning about his faith. Michael is survived by his two daughters, Brianna and Elena Kinzel; his brothers, Daniel and Joseph Kinzel, as well as by many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He will be truly missed for his kindness, sense of humor, and strong religious faith. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to:
