Obituary of Ann Macy

Anna May Macy, 93 of North Carolina ( originally of Poughkeepsie, NY ), went to be with The Lord on June 9, 2019 after a brave

battle with dementia.  Ann was born in Poughkeepsie to the late Reuben Whisple and Fredricka Brazee Whisple, where she lived

until 2011.  She is predeceased by her husband, George, who passed away in 2012.

Ann was a dedicated housewife and mother, who helped George run his welding business, George Macy Inc. She was a fierce defender

of her family, loved animals - especially cats - and cared for her cat Savannah to the end of her life, could always be found with a book or

magazine in her hand, and also loved to knit and crochet. 

Ann is survived by her children, Greg Macy ( Kathy Macy ) of Poughquag, Susan Mewkill ( Robert Mewkill ) of Wake Forest NC; grand-daughter,

Kimberly Macy Tinelli ( Nicholas Tinelli ) of New Windsor and great-grandson, Aaron Tinelli of New Windsor.  Ann was proceeded in death by

her husband George, father Reuben Whisple, mother Fredricka Whisple,  brother Leonard Whisple and aunt Hazel Brazee.
