Obituary of Salvatore Laudone

Salvatore M. Laudone, 90, of Poughkeepsie, died Friday, January 8, 2021.  He was born in New York City on June 19, 1930 but was a local resident of Poughkeepsie most of his life.  Sal was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Korean War.  Sal worked at IBM Poughkeepsie, retiring in 1986.  He was a member of the Italian Center and a lifelong member of the American Legion.  He liked to travel on day trips.  He loved Christmas and enjoyed collecting anything that reminded him of this holiday, trains, houses and trees.  People enjoyed visiting his home to see his displays.  Sal is survived by many cousins William and Diana Cianchetta of Salt Point, Carol and David Wolfe of Texas, Larry and Roxanne Aiello of Kentucky, Christine Crownover of Texas, Richard and Dawn Aiello of Texas and several other cousins.  Sal was predeceased by his parents, Vincenzo and Vincenza Battaglia Laudone, a brother Vincenzo Laudone, his twin sister Carmella Laudone, and his cousin James Aiello.  A graveside service will be held 11 am, Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Salt Point Turnpike, Poughkeepsie.  Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Timothy P. Doyle funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, New York 12603.  The family asks that Memorial Donations be made to the Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation, P.O.
