Obituary of Archangela M. Proto

Archangela M. Proto, 90 of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away at Vassar Brothers Medical Center on Friday, January 15, 2021. Archangela was born in Bronx, NY on November 5, 1930 to the late Paul and Angelica Squichiarin. She married Nicholas J. Proto on June 17, 1951 in Brooklyn, NY. He predeceased her on April 5, 1990.

A local resident since May, 2012, Archangela's previously lived in Valhalla, NY. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a mail clerk for Readers Digest. Archangela was a member of Holy Trinity Church and enjoyed painting.

Archangela was one of six children and is currently survived by her daughter Janet (Nicholas) Piccolo of Deerfield Beach, Fl, son Joseph (Maria) Proto of Poughkeepsie, NY, grandchildren Michael and Christina Piccolo, Daniel and Douglas Proto, great grandchildren Nicholas and Noah Piccolo. She is predeceased by a grandchild Nicholas Piccolo Jr..

Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 22, 2021 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc. 371 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603.
