Michael Wisniewski

Obituary of Michael Wisniewski

Michael (Mike Da Pollock) Wisniewski, a lifelong Poughkeepsie resident, passed away on February 2, 2021.

Mike was born on November 11, 1952. He is survived by his children Sean (Veronica Manganelli) Wisniewski of Florida and Megan Wisniewski of Poughkeepsie, as well as his grandpups JoJo and Blossom.

Mike was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Josephine Vasta Wisniewski.

Although Mike was an only child, there was no shortage of “siblings” or “nieces and nephews”. Mike was an extension of the Montanino family. He is survived by Charles Montanino, his best pal. Charlie and the late Barbara Montanino were like second parents to Mike, while James (Rose), Deborah, the late Desiree, Cheryl (Biagio), Peter (Tina), and Angelique (Charles) were all “siblings” to Mike. There are also numerous “nieces and nephews”, cousins, extended family, and friends.

Mike was a genuine, kind-hearted, all around good guy who loved his kids and his family tremendously. He loved to tell a good story, but even moreso people loved to listen to Mike because of his passion and animations when doing so. Mike could never pass up a good poker game and he will be remembered fondly, for many years to come, throughout the poker scene in Poughkeepsie.
