Obituary of Arthur K. Beman Jr.

Arthur “Arty” Beman  of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away  suddenly on February 4, 2021. He was 67 years old.

Born and raised in Bronxville, NY,  Arty attended Bronxville High school and South Hampton College.

Arty retired from Reader’s Digest and Fluor Corporation.

As a child, Arty enjoyed spending his weekends and vacations at the family camp  on Barrett Pond in Carmel, NY.

There he learned the art of hunting and fishing from his dad and brothers, and continued to enjoy these outdoor

Activities all his life. Arty enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, such as walks in the woods or a lazy drive on the weekends.

Arty was a loyal friend and animal lover.

Arty leaves behind his life partner, Blanche Conley of Poughkeepsie, NY, Son Scott Beman of Mount Pleasant, SC, and daughter

Chelsea Beman of Roanoke, VA., Grandchildren, Aiden Beman and Ansley Beman of Mount Pleasant, SC.

Arty is preceeded in death by his parents, Arthur Beman Sr,  & Harriet Beman, and Sister, Carol Miner.

Arty is survived by  Brother Jim Beman  and wife Sandy, of New Port Richey, FL, sister Joan Guthrie and husband Alan of Ridgefield, CT, and Tom Beman and Wife Brenda of Poquoson,  Virginia, and brother in law George Miner of Greer, SC.
