Thomas Nocket

Obituary of Thomas Nocket

Thomas Paul Nocket, 73 of Staatsburg, NY passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Grand Strand Medical Center, Myrtle Beach, NC.  He was born on February 10, 1948 in Pottsville, PA to the late Thomas J. Nocket and Mary Elizabeth Starr. He married Patricia Ann Mascolino on November 13, 1971 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Poughkeepsie who survives at home.

A long-time area resident, Tom attended Our Lady of Lourdes High School and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree from Marist College. He was employed as a Contractor until his retirement in 2007 and was the Vice President of TJ Nocket, Inc., working with his father as chief estimator for many years. Tom was also a long-time member of Local 201/21 and a board member of both the Greystone Program and the Mechanical Contractors Association. He was a parishioner of Regina Coeli Church, enjoyed golfing, was an avid reader and loved his wine and a good cigar. Toms friends, family and especially his wife, Patty were always an important part of his life. He would do anything for any of us and will be missed beyond measure by all who had the privilege to know and love him.  Recently, he and Patty fulfilled his dream and purchased a retirement condo on the golf course in Myrtle Beach where they planned to spend their golden years playing golf and spending time with good friends in the warmth of the South Carolina sunshine.

In addition to his wife and love of his life, Patty of nearly 50 years, Tom is also survived by his sisters Kathryn Nocket of Poughkeepsie, NY, Mary Beth Nocket of Hyde Park, NY, brothers Michael Nocket of Poughkeepsie, NY, Edward Nocket and fiancée Mary Vogel of Poughkeepsie, NY, and John and Angela Nocket of Highland, NY. He is predeceased by his brother Robert Nocket of Clinton Corners. Also leaving behind his beloved nieces and nephews Christopher and Alycia, Paul, Taylor, Casey, PJ, Tommy and Amber.
