Thomas DiStefano

Obituary of Thomas A. DiStefano

Thomas “Tommy” DiStefano, 68 – a lifelong resident of Poughkeepsie, NY, was called home to the Lord on Friday, March 5, 2021, surrounded by so much love. Born April 6, 1952, to the late Albert J. DiStefano and Anna Massarelli, Tommy graduated from Poughkeepsie High School in 1970 and attended Marist College in Poughkeepsie.

He married his soulmate Deborah DeVor on October 12, 1980, in Poughkeepsie, NY. Tommy spent over 40 years “delivering money for future delivery” as the owner of DiStefano Insurance Agency in Highland, NY. He put his family and faith before anything and loved spending time with his six grandchildren more than anything in the world.

Tommy will be remembered by every person he has touched. His faith was true until the end, and even while fighting for his life, he never complained or wavered in his faith and love for God. He dedicated his life to the service of others and the impact he had on so many lives will live on forever.

He is survived by his 98-year-old mother Anna DiStefano, his wife of 40 years Deborah DiStefano, son Damien DiStefano, Adam DiStefano and his wife Jeanine, and Ryan DiStefano and his wife Erica. Additionally, he is survived by the joys of his life, his six grandchildren, Brayden, Marcello, Annabella, Lorenzo, Serafina, and Theodore.

Calling hours will be held at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home 371 Hooker Avenue Poughkeepsie, New York 12603 on Thursday, March 11th, 2021 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm.
