Obituary of Eileen Hovanec

Eileen Hovanec, 84, of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away on July 16, 2021. She was born on November 19, 1936 in Yonkers, New York to the late Bennett and the late Margaret (Sutor) Carpinelli.

Eileen was a graduate of Commerce High School. 

Eileen married the "love of her life" Edward Hovanec, on June 8, 1991. it was his wish to do so, as he passed away 2 days later.

Eileen was employed at Union Carbide in Manhattan until her retirement.

Eileen was a member of the Red Hat Club and enjoyed going to the Town of Poughkeepsie Senior Center.

Eileen is survived by her sister Bernice O'Connell of Copake, NY., her nieces Kathleen Watrobski of Clifton Park, NY., Regina Olgee of Mahopac, NY., her nephews Christopher Wilcock of Hong Kong and William O'Connell of Coeymans Hollow, NY.

Eileen is also predeceased by her two sisters Frances Carpinelli, Carole Wilcock, her brother Robert Carpinelli and her nephew Robert Carpinelli Jr.
 

Friends may call on Thursday, July 22, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. A Prayer service will be held following the calling hours at 11:30am.

Interment will take place in Mount Hope Cemetery, Hastings On The Hudson, NY.
