Obituary of Charles A. Wilson

Charles A. Wilson, 63 of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away peacefully at home on Monday, August 9,2021. Charles was born on November 5,1957 in Guanajuato, Mexico to the late H Clifton Jr and Joyce Bending Wilson. He married the former Karen A. Young-Caswell on September 18, 1983 who survives at home.
A local resident since age 15, Charles attended Arlington High School and graduated from Admiral Farragut High School in St. Petersburg’s, Florida. He also attended college in Macon, Georgia majoring in pre-med. He had been employed at 21st Century Machine Tools in West Caldwell, New Jersey as general manager for the last 10 years. Charles was a member of BPOE #275.
In addition to his wife Karen, Charles is survived by his sons Chance E. (Joanne) Caswell of Poughkeepsie, NY, Charles A. (Traci Mulligan) Wilson of Poughkeepsie, NY, daughter Jessica J. (Ryan) Millard of Hyde Park, NY, grandchildren Logan and Kaiya Wilson. He is also survived by his sisters Patricia (Mark) Pahmer of CT, and Elizabeth (John) Buchanan of VA as well as many nieces and nephews. Charles was predeceased by two brothers H Clifton Wilson II and Richard Wilson.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday August 21,2021 from 11am to 1:30 at the Timothy Doyle Funeral Home,Inc. 371 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. Funeral service will follow at 1:30pm. Burial is private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the American Cancer Society.
