Obituary of Frank Pittman Jr.

Frank Pittman Jr. 79, of Poughkeepsie, New York passed away on January 18,2022. He was born on June 9,1942 in Whitakers North Carolina to the late Frank Pittman Sr. and Anna Mae (Dickens) Pittman.

He was a local resident all his life.

Frank was a retired Tech for IBM – Poughkeepsie, N.Y. Frank served in the Air Force from April 23,1961 to December 23, 1965. He was a member of Beulah Baptist Church in Poughkeepsie. He loved to fish, watch baseball, football, crossword puzzles, an avid reader and he also liked to listen to Fats Domino. Frank loved to call family and friends to talk. He was known for his one liner statements.

He was the husband of Carmen (Byfield) Pittman. They were married in London, England on March 25,1967.

Survivors include his wife, Carmen Pittman of Poughkeepsie. His children are Karl Williams of Brooklyn N.Y. Michele Pittman-VanDyke (Scott) of Wappingers Falls, N.Y. RayAndrea Pittman of Poughkeepsie, N.Y. and Theresa Pittman of North Carolina. Siblings; Sisters, Ella Margaret Tillery, Belle, Doris (David) McGill of Maryland and Brother Hubert Pittman of Poughkeepsie. Seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews.

Frank was predeceased by Parents: Frank Pittman Sr. and Anna Mae Pittman, Grandmother, Ida Pittman, Brother, George Pittman, Grandson, Larry Green, Nephew Wayne Pittman and Niece Lori Ann Tillery.

Frank’s Funeral Services will be held February 1, 2022, from 10 am – 12 pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Avenue Poughkeepsie, N.Y.

Interment will take place in Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
