Obituary of Vincenzo C Dalia

Poughkeepsie, New York - Vincenzo C. Dalia, a 65 year local resident, formerly of Italy, passed away peacefully at his home on April 30, 2022. He was 88 years old.  Vincenzo (aka Vinny, Dad, Nonno) was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He did so much for so many, especially his family and friends. He enjoyed a trip to the casino, a good card game, making homemade wine, and driving his Mercedes. Vincenzo was also an excellent trumpet player.Born in Moschiano, Italy on April 28, 1934, he was the son of the late Saverio and Filomena DelDuca Dalia. On August 1, 1957, he married Felice DeFranco in Laino Castello, Italy. Vincenzo was formerly employed by Arborio Bros. Construction and later McNamee Construction. He belonged to Local 1000. Not only was blacktop his speciality but also remodeling homes and building brick ovens in his spare time. He was a hardworking man with many talents. After retiring, he helped his wife in their family owned business, TJ's Pizza in Poughkeepsie. Vincenzo is survived by his children: Catherine Servodio and her husband Benito, Benedetto Dalia and his wife Christine, Saverio Dalia and his wife Linda. Grandsons: Michele Servodio, Joseph Servodio, Vincenzo Dalia and his fiancée Casey Jurutka, and Saverio Dalia. Granddaughters: Rosanna Servodio, Angelina Dalia, Josephine Dalia, and Sabrina Janke and her husband Chris. He is also survived by his brother Antonio Dalia of New Jersey. Vincenzo was predeceased by his wife Felice Dalia, his granddaughter Sophia Gabriella Dalia, his sister Maddalena Vona, and his brother Sabato Dalia. Visitation will be on Friday, May 6, 2022 from 3pm to 7pm at Timothy P.
