Obituary of Candido Palermo

Candido Palermo, 79, of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away after a battle with Parkinson Disease on July 27, 2022. He was born on September 4, 1942, in Gurabo, Puerto Rico to the late Jose and Cecilia (Rivera) Palermo Jordan.

Candido was a local resident since 1989, previously from Yonkers New York.

On July 29, 1970, in Punta Arenas Chile he married Patricia M. Bahamonde she survives at home.

Candido was a Machinist for Otis Elevator in Yonkers and also work for Safe Flight in White Plains.

Candido was a faithful servant of God and was a member of Temple Cristiano Fe' in Poughkeepsie.

Candido was a loving husband, father and tata. He loved spending time with his family, enjoyed photography, fishing and traveling.

Survivors include his wife Patricia, daughter Cynthia J. Palermo of Litchfield CT, son and daughter in-law Joseph G. and Kerri Palermo of Hyde Park NY, grandchildren Brianna, Alyssa, Joseph Jr., Kristina, brother Carmen Palermo of NYC and numerous family in Chile, Panama, Puerto Rico and throughout the United States.

Candido was predeceased by many brothers and sisters.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday July 31, 2022, from 12:30pm to 2:30pm at Temple Cristiano Fe' 168 Cannon Street Poughkeepsie, New York. Burial will be held 11am Monday August 1, 2022, at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery at the Community Mausoleum.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home 371 Hooker Ave. Poughkeepsie, New York 12603.
