Obituary of Mary Ellen Perrotta

Mary Ellen Perrotta, 86, of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away at home on Saturday, September 17, 2022. She was born on April 23, 1936 in Poughkeepsie, NY to the late Herbert and Nellie Burnett. Mary Ellen married James Perrotta on February 5, 1956 at St. Mary's Church in Poughkeepsie, NY. She was predeceased by her husband, James and her sister, Mildred and brother-in-law Donald Will.  A lifelong resident, Mary Ellen was employed at IBM prior to her retirement. She loved to cook and bake for her loved ones and all the neighborhood kids. Mary Ellen is survived by her sons Thomas Perrotta; Dennis Perrotta and wife, Kelly; Brian Perrotta and wife, Laurie; Gary Perrotta; and daughter Karen Marcojohn and husband, Mike; Brother and sister-in-law, Delores and George Vicari; and sister-in-law Shirley Perrotta. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2022 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603.
