Obituary of Christine Milton

Christine “Yvette” Milton was born in Orlando, Florida September 16, 1956. The daughter of the late Eddie Gene Milton Sr. and Hattie Pearl Gass Milton of Wingdale, New York. She married Don Bathrick who survives at home.

Christine was a resident of Poughkeepsie for over 17 years. She received her education at Dover Jr. Sr. High School in Dover Plains, New York and attended Dutchess Community College. Christine was a daughter, mother, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend to many. Christine loved to travel with her husband Don, as well as take frequent trips to the casino. She loved music and could often be found at a concert or taking in a Broadway play with her husband. More than anything else Christine loved her family and was always at her happiest when spending time with her loved ones.

The loves of her life included her two children and her spouse aka “Her Other Half” Donald Bathrick.

Christine devoted her life to the Lord in 2015 when she became a member of RiverView Missionary Baptist Church in Kingston, New York. She attended faithfully for as long as her health permitted.

She was employed at Wassaic Developmental Center as a Mental Hygiene Therapy Aide for 20+ years until her retirement on June 22, 1995 as well as a former Local #426 CSEA Secretary.

On Sunday, February 26, 2023, Christine departed this life at her residence surrounded by her family.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her spouse, Donald Bathrick of Poughkeepsie, NY; a daughter, Siobhan Williams of Poughkeepsie, NY; a son, Shaun Williams and partner Sarah Muller of Poughkeepsie, NY; three sisters, Deborah Milton, Angela Milton, Althea Milton and partner Howard Elder; two brothers, Eddie Gene Milton Jr. and Steven Milton all of Highland, NY; an aunt, Louise Milton of Poughkeepsie, NY; four grandchildren, Sebastian and Ryleigh Williams of North Carolina and Leandro and Benecio Garcia of Poughkeepsie, NY; four nieces, nine nephews, lifelong best friends Arthurine and Michelle Brown and a host of cousins and friends.

Christine was predeceased by a grandchild Reagan Williams, her mother Hattie Pearl Gass Milton and her father Eddie Gene Milton Sr.

Visitation will be held Monday March 6, 2023 at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home 371 Hooker Ave Poughkeepsie NY, 12603 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. 

Funeral Service will be held Tuesday March 7, 2023 at 11:00am  at Bethel Church of Christ and God, Burial will take place immediatley following the service at LaGrange Cemetery.
