Obituary of Mark F. Lahey

Mark F. Lahey, 57, of Poughkeepsie, died at Nuvance Health on Sunday March 26, 2023.

Mark was born on April 26, 1965, in Poughkeepsie, New York to the late Francis D. and the late Rose Marie Manna Lahey.

Mark was a local resident and a graduate of Arlington High School.

Mark was the owner of MFL Construction in Poughkeepsie.

Mark loved living out West with his family. He then moved his family to NC and with the help of family and friends built them a beautiful cedar home with his bare hands. Mark loved being outdoors kayaking, fishing, hunting and riding his bicycle. Most recently, he enjoyed precious times with his son working and fishing together. He also loved his four-legged companions, Kayla and Hannah.

Mark is survived by his son Brendan M. Lahey of Pleasant Valley, his significant other Karen McMillen of Pleasant Valley, his brothers and sisters Shawn Lahey of Poughkeepsie, Marie Anne Lahey of Dover Plains, Rachel Reilly of Tucson, AZ, Joel Lahey of Round Top, NY, and Kristen Lahey of Poughkeepsie, nieces and nephews Justin Gault, Dana J. Gault, and Alicia Perez, great nieces and nephews Damian Gault, Alianna Gault, Lilliana Gault and Michael Mia.

Mark is predeceased by his parents, brother Brian Lahey, niece Brianna Lahey and great niece Macayla Gault.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 from 4pm to 8pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, New York 12603.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place 10am on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at Holy Trinity Church Poughkeepsie, New York 12603.

Burial will be at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Salt Point Turnpike, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603.
