Obituary of Eileen Huller

Eileen Huller, 69, a longtime resident of Poughkeepsie, NY, went home to be with the Lord on May 30th, 2023.

Eileen was born on June 25th, 1953 to Stephen and Doris Hricasko in Yonkers, NY. Eileen graduated from Commerce High School in 1972. In 1978, Eileen met Philip Huller and immediately knew they would marry. They married in 1980 and built a beautiful life together.

Eileen took a job at Dutchess BOCES after her children started school. She was a caring and committed educator and an incredible advocate for all children, especially those with special needs. In 2017, Eileen retired after 25 years of service. She spent most of her free time babysitting her beloved granddaughter and “love bug” Josie. Eileen also volunteered as a faith teacher for the young children of the church. Eileen loved people and was a true friend to everyone she met.

Eileen was predeceased by Philip as well as her stepson Shawn. She is survived by her daughter Katrina Williams and her husband Ryan of Port Ewen, NY, her son Stephen Philip Huller and his girlfriend Chelsea Pagan of Poughkeepsie, NY, her stepdaughter Michele Cuadrado and her husband Aaron of Chester, NY, her grandchildren Isabella, Ivan and Josie, her sisters Jody Emerson and Patricia Gray, and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Services will be held at Saint Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church in Pleasant Valley, NY on Tuesday June 6th at 10am. After Mass, the family invites loved ones to celebrate Eileen’s life at The Publick House at noon. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Eileen’s memory to Autism Speaks, Inc. or the Sound of Life Radio Network.
