Obituary of Samuel Romano

Samuel George Romano born April 2, 1952 died Friday at St. Francis Hospital. Sam was employed by western Printing, STAMP and IBM. Later in life he earned an AAS degree at Dutchess Community College and then earned a BS in Social Work at Marist College.He was predeceased by his parents Flo and George Pudaim and his dear cousin Susan Dunagan, cousin Kathleen Dunagan McShea, and his beloved uncle and aunt Frank and Charlotte Dunagan and his beloved aunts and uncles in the Visco Family. He is survived by a sister and a brother, ex wife Carla whom he remained close to, as well as many close cousins whom he loved and remained close to until he died. They include Mike and Barbara Dunagan, Terry and Barbara Dunagan, Jim and Alice Dunagan, Pat and Cindy Dunagan, Nick and Debbie Ignaffo, Linda and Joe Ficano and Sue and Joe Domena and Peter Visco and the Visco family and many nieces and nephews and his two closest friends Howard and Pete.Sam loved to write, read, listen to music and socialize with his close friends and family. Sam will be sorely missed by all who loved and cared for him.A special thanks to Andrew O'Grady and Michael Napolitano of MHA as well as the Nurses and Doctors on the 3rd and 6th floors at St. Francis hospital for their compassionate care.Memorial donations can be made to the Mental Health Assoc of America Dutchess County Chapter Mansion Street Poughkeepsie, New York.
