Obituary of William Mortensen

William "Bill" T. Mortensen (November 17, 1932 - November 25, 2013) Bill a native of Beacon, NY served 4 years in the US Navy. He was a security guard at Mattawan Prision, a Beacon Police Officer and Owner of Morts Bar in Beacon, NY. Bill retired to Port St. Lucie, Fla. in 1992. Bill is survived by his sister Joan Domenico of Wappingers Falls, NY, his first divorced wife, Maria Mortensen of Hopewell, Jct., NY, his four children; son, Douglas Mortensen and his wife Annerose of Fishkill, NY, daughters, Lisa Mortensen of Kerhonkson, NY, Tanya Mortensen of Hopewell, Jct., NY and Sherrie Schultz of Fishkill, NY. 7 grandchildren; Jessica, Emily, Joseph, Brian, David, Jennifer and Christopher. One great granddaughter; Mackenzie. Bill is also survived by his second divorced wife, Alice Mortensen of Port St. Lucie, Fla. and 4 step children; Terri McElrath of South Carolina, Billy Dooner of Beacon, NY, Cheryl Murray of Wellington, Fla. and Shawn Dooner of Naples, Fla. Bill is survived by his beloved cat "Lucky" so named cause he was. Bill was predeceased by his son-in-law, Michael Schultz in May 2012. Services will be at the convenience of the family.
