Robert Kingsley Scott, Jr., age 50, of Poughkeepsie, died Sunday, December 15, 2013 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY. Robert was born December 3, 1963 in Poughkeepsie, NY. He is the son of the late Robert Kingsley and the late Joan Marie (Dixon) Scott Sr. Robert attended Roosevelt Schools and was employed by Kingsley Homes as a Construction Worker. Robert was a member of American Legion 1466. Robert loved music, enjoyed football and NASCAR. Robert was also a part of the Guinness Book of world records doing the Hokey Pokey on the Duchess County Rail Trail. He is survived by his two sons: Robert Kingsley Scott III and Dylan Christopher Scott of Hyde Park, NY; sister: Roberta Scott and and her companion Jeff Snyder of Hyde Park, NY; brother Brian David Lifshin of Hyde Park, NY and good friends Linda Howley and Bob Jennings. Robert was predeceased by his parents and his three brothers Bruce Thomas, Steven Meyers and Gordon Allen Lifshin . A graveside service will be held 10:00 am on Friday, December 20, 2013 at St. Peters Cemetery, Salt Point Turnpike, Poughkeepsie, NY. Calling hours will be Thursday, December 19, 2013 from 4pm to 8pm at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY.
