Obituary of Wadie Nesheiwat

Wadie M. Nesheiwat, age 79, of Poughkeepsie, died Friday, January 3, 2014 at Westchester Medical Center in Mount Pleasant, NY. Wadie was born March 23, 1944 in Irbid, Jordan . He is the son of the late Mousa and the late Naima (Jweinat) Nesheiwat. He married Nawal Sahawneh on October 1, 1966 in Amman Jordan. He was the Owner and CEO of the Xtra Auto Sales in Poughkeepsie. Wadie was a member of St. James Antiochian Orthodox Church and Wadie has been a local resident since 1975 previously residing in Jordan He is survived by his wife: Nawal(Sahawneh) Nesheiwat , daughter: Rania Nesheiwat of Poughkeepsie, NY;son: Raed Nesheiwat of Poughkeepsie, NY; daughter and son in-law, Muna and Munther Masarweh of TN; daughter and son in-law, Raeda and Nicolas Tashman of St Louis, MS; grandchildren, Butros, Joey, Marciese, Rema, sister Wadia Masarweh of Poughkeepsie; over 50 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. Wadie was predeceased by his brothers, Fawzi Nesheiwat, , Eid Nesheiwat, and Fawzeh Nesheiwat. The funeral will be held 10:30 am on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at St. James Antiochian Orthodox Church, Violet Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY with Father Hisham officiating. Burial will be in St. Peters Cemetery, Poughkeepsie. Calling hours will be Tuesday, January 7, 2013 from 4pm to 8pm at the St. James Antiochian Orthodox Church Violet Ave. Poughkeepsie, New York.
