Obituary of Frank Conte

Frank C. Conte, age 91, of Poughkeepsie, died Thursday, January 23, 2014 at the Renaissance Nursing Home in Staatsburg, NY. Frank was born October 12, 1922 in Poughkeepsie, NY. He is the son of the late Joseph and the late Mary (Pannozzo) Conte. He married Carmella DeMichele on October 27, 1963. He was predeceased by his wife, Carmella DeMichele on December 10, 2000. He served in the United States Army during World War II in the JAG division Fort Bliss, Texas from 1942 to 1945. He was employed by M. Swartz And Co. Poughkeepsie as a Sales Clerk. A graduate of Poughkeepsie High School Class of 1940, he attended Saxton Falls School of Art in Kingston, New York. Frank was employed by IBM Poughkeepsie for many years. Frank was very involved for many years doing charity work for Cerebral Palsy Foundation. Frank is survived by; two sisters: Rose Neri of Syracuse, NY, Kay Gyscek of Hyde Park, NY; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held 1:00 pm on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at the Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, 342 South Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. Entombment will follow the services..
