Obituary of Diane Brown

Diane Lee Brown, 72, passed away Friday, April 4, 2014 in St. Augustine, FL. Born in Port Chester, NY on June 2, 1941 she was the daughter of the late Michael E. and Ethel O'Connell. Previously of Wappingers Falls, NY, Diane lived in Elkton, FL for the past 12 years. In 1961 Diane married Alfred Eugene Maier who predeceased her in 1981. Diane then remarried John Thomas Brown in 1984, he predeceased her in 1994. Diane worked as a cashier at Grand Union for many years, she then took a clerical position at Fishkill Correctional Facility where she remained until her retirement in 1985. In her spare time Diane loved to do arts and crafts and play bingo. Diane was predeceased in life by her two brothers Robert and Richard O'Connell and her sister Doris Mainiero. Diane is survived by her son Alfred Maier and wife Jenny of Jacksonville, FL., daughter Lee Ann Maier of Wappingers Falls, NY, and son Michael Maier and wife Toni of Hyde Park, NY, 4 grandchildren, Farrah Kirkland and Ashley, Megan and Michael Maier Jr., 3 great grandchildren, Nevaeh, Jeremiah and Jasmine and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will take place Wednesday April 9, 2014 at Timothy P. Doyle F.H. Inc. 371 Hooker Avenue Poughkeepsie, NY 12603 form 4pm to 7pm.
