Obituary of Antonio Peixoto

Antonio Peixoto, 46, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Vassar Brother Medical Center. Born in Yonkers, NY on April 7, 1968 he was the son to the late Manuel and Maria Viera Peixoto. Previously of Yonkers, NY Antonio moved to Poughkeepsie, NY 13 years ago. On August 26, 1995 Antonio married Antonietta Di Vitto in Yonkers, NY. Antonietta survives at home. Antonio worked as an EMT for Transcare for many years. He also worked as a security guard at Saint Francis Hospital. He was a member of the Hudson Valley Sportsman Association, Mid Hudson Limb Loss and was also a Volunteer at Arlington Fire Department. Antonio was an avid golfer and hunter, but most of all was a devoted father to his daughter Anna. Antonio is survived by his wife, Antonietta and daughter Anna of Poughkeepsie, NY, Mother In-Law Marcella Di Vitto, Freddy Di Vitto and wife Sharron of Pawling, NY, Enzo Di Vitto and wife Gail of Patterson, NY, and sister Eugenia Rescicia and husband Antonio of Kansas. Antonio is also survived by his nieces and nephews Joseph, David, Dylan, Rosemarie and Fina and her family, god children, Joey, Morgan, Brianna and several cousins, aunts and uncles. Calling hours will be held at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc. 371 Hooker Avenue Poughkeepsie, NY on Tuesday May 6 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm and Wednesday May 7 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral services will take place Thursday, May 8 at 10am at Holy Trinity Church. Entombment will follow in the Community Mausoleum at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
