Obituary of Joan M. Pfeifer

Joan Bocchino Pfeifer, 56, passed away suddenly on December 5th, 2016 surrounded by loved ones. Born in Poughkeepsie, NY on December 21st, 1959, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Betty Bocchino. She is survived by her son, Garrett Pfeifer, Daughter, Taylor Pfeifer, and long time companion, Michael Oliksowycz. Joan has lived in New Jersey for the past 3 years, there she loved swimming in the ocean, walking on the beach, and feeding the seagulls. She also enjoyed cooking, arts and crafts, and reading, as well as being a member of a book club. Joan was a free spirited, and loving woman who knew how to provide light to any day. She lived her life to the fullest, keeping herself busy and others entertained along the way. She is also survived by 4 sisters, Lynne Keating, Kathleen Schnoor, Lorianne Mann, and Betty-jo Bocchino; 3 brothers Terry, Victor, and Christopher Bocchino; and many cousins,nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Anthony, and Joseph Bocchino.
