Richard J. Frank of Poughkeepsie, NY Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family after a long courageous battle with cancer.

Born January 31, 1951, in the Bronx, NY.

Predeceased by parents Edward A. Frank and Katherine (Houlihan) Frank.

Graduated St. Helena’s Business High School in Bronx, NY in 1969 before obtaining his degree from

Dutchess Community College.

Survived by: Wife Elizabeth (Toth)they were married March 1976 at Holy Trinity Church, Poughkeepsie, NY. Daughters and Sons-In-Law Andrea (Frank) and Michael Vincent, Wallkill, NY, Michele Frank and Julian Mustardo, and Granddaughters, Mia and Ava Mustardo, Fairfield, NJ. Brothers and sisters-in-law Edward J. and Debby Frank, West Nyack, NY, Michael T. and Rosemarie Frank, Hamilton, NJ. Sisters and brothers-in-law Mary Jane (late Joseph) Semple, Melbourne Beach, Florida, Margaret and Kenneth Rich, East Islip, NY. Sister-in-law and brother-in-law Gabriella and Joseph Tippa, Poughkeepsie, NY. Brother-in-law and sister-in-law Endre and Tammy Jo Toth, Houston, Texas. Sister-in-law Maria Szabo, Tapolca, Hungary. Several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In addition, he has left behind his best friends, fishing and hunting buddies Freeman Marshall and

Richard Mann.

Served in Vietnam in the United States Navy on the USS Truxton, where he met lifelong friends.

Previously employed as a police officer with the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department, was a toll

collector with New York State Bridge Authority, and Retired from the NYS Liquor Authority as a Senior

Investigator.

Affiliations: Coached Little League and Senior League Baseball City of Poughkeepsie Police Athletic

League, Member of B.P.O.E. Elks Lodge#275, State of New York Police Juvenile Officers Association, Inc.

Hobbies Avid hunter and freshwater and saltwater fisherman which he enjoyed with his daughter, son-

in-law, and friends. Enjoyed golfing with friends and Boating. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with

his children and grandchildren teaching them the “Bronx Cheer”!

Calling Hours will be held on Thursday August 31, 2023, from 4-8 pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home 371 Hooker Ave. Poughkeepsie, New York 12603. A Prayer service and ceremony will be held 10:30am on Friday September 1, 2023, at the Funeral Home.
