Obituary of Stanley Hirsch

Stanley Hirsch, a cherished husband, father, and brother, passed away on December 6, 2023, at Vassar Hospital. He was born on September 4, 1946, in Schoharie, NY, the son of Howard and Dorothy LaPlant Hirsch. Stanley married Deborah on July 20, 1968, and together they built a life filled with love and happiness. Stanley dedicated over 40 years of his career to IBM, where his expertise and hard work made a lasting impact. Survived by his loving wife, Deborah, Stanley will be dearly missed by his son, Brian, daughter, Kristi, son-in-law, Ed, and his much-loved brother-in-law, Terry Trinkle, his wife, Dolores, and their sons Matthew and Mark. Stanley leaves behind his brothers Douglas Hirsch of Wappingers Falls, Joseph Hirsch of New Jersey, Martin Hirsch of Florida, and sister Eileen Nash of San Diego and several nieces and nephews. Throughout his life, Stanley embraced his love of camping, fishing, and kayaking. He enjoyed spending time outdoors enjoying nature’s beauty during his daily morning walks. Above all, Stanley was a family man who cherished spending time with friends and family. His kind and caring demeanor touched the hearts of those around him, and his memory will forever live on in their hearts. Stanley battled the relentless disease of Parkinson’s with unwavering strength, courage, and humor, never allowing it to dampen his spirit. He faced each challenge head-on, proving his resilience and determination. In celebrating the life of Stanley Hirsch, let us remember his warm smile, gentle nature, and unwavering love for his family. Visitation will be held Monday, December 11, 2023 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home. Service will be held Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at 10:00am at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Burial will take place Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at 11:00am at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery
