Obituary of Walter Berkley

Walter Berkley, 90, passed away November 7, 2011 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. He was born October 10, 1921 in Mt. Pleasant, NY. On October 28, 1944 he married Cecilia Stec in Poughkeepsie. She survives him at home. Walter served in the US Naval Service as an Armed Guard during WWII. Along with his wife, his is survived by four sons: Walter of LaGrange, NY; Dennis and his wife Lynn of Poughkeepsie; Donald and his wife Ann Marie of New Paltz and David and his wife Lorraine of Delanson, NY; six grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. Memorial Donations may be made to United Heart Fund. Calling hours will be held Friday, November 11, 2011 from 9:00-11:00am at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. Services will be held following the calling hours at 11:00am in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
