Obituary of Iolanda Colantuono

Iolanda Colantuono, 78, of Wappingers Falls, passed away on Jan. 19, 2010 in Italy. A local resident since 1978, she had previously resided in the Bronx. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary's Church in Wappingers Falls. Born in Italy on April 24, 1933, she was the daughter of Pasquale and Giuseppa Arzano Mancini. She was married to Pasquale Colantuono on Feb. 23 1954 in Italy. He predeceased her on Oct. 26, 1973. She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Luigi and Halina Colantuono of Wappingers Falls; her daughters and sons in law, Maria and Joseph Golia of Wappingers Falls; Emanuela and Romano Rosati of Italy; her son and daughter in law, Mario and Laurie Colantuono of Pleasant Valley; her grandchildren, Pasquale, Ewa and Wladek Colantuono; Roberto, Joseph and Daniela Golia; Vincent and Franko Colantuono; Melissa and Giulio Rosati; and great grandchildren, Giuseppe, Dina and Martina Golia. She is also survived by her brothers, Marcello and Mario Mancini and a sister, Gemma Picano. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2010 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc. 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 a.m. Holy Trinity Church. Burial will be in Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
