Obituary of Blanche I Cole

Blanche I. Cole, 97, passed away surrounded by her loving family on November 12, 2011 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. She was born March 16, 1914 in Warwarsing, NY the daughter of Benjamin & Lydia Quick Smailes. On August 6, 1938 she married Maurice A. Cole at Trinity Methodist Church. Her husband predeceased her on February 1, 2003. Blanche worked as a seamstress in Poughkeepsie. She was a member of Poughkeepsie United Methodist Church. Blanche is survived by her daughter Irene B. Feller; grandson Steven R. Feller and his wife Donna of Pleasant Valley, NY; granddaughter Stephanie I. Hayden and her husband Joseph of Newburgh, NY; sister Geraldine Everett of N.J., great granddog Cindiluwho and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters Beatrice Stewart and Geraldine Everett. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 from 7-9pm at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. Rev. Thompson Ghee will hold a service on Thursday, November 17, 2011 at 10am at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Community Masoleum at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery. Donations may be made to the charity on your choice.
