Obituary of Frederick Conrad

Frederick L. Conrad, age 85, of Poughkeepsie, New York, died Friday, June 10, 2011 at St. Francis Hospital, Poughkeepsie. Frederick was born March 5, 1926 in Poughkeepsie, NY the son of the late Frederick G. and the late Mede (Lunnen) Conrad. He married Anne DuPuy July 28, 1946 at St. John's Roman Catholic Church. He retired from IBM Poughkeepsie as an Engineer on 4/1/1987. Frederick was a member of Poughkeepsie Yacht Club, Volunteer at Bowdion Park Nature Center, the Hudson Valley Raptor Center and the Boy Scouts of America. Frederick was a certified Scout Leader and received the Wood Badge. He is survived by his wife: Anne (DuPuy) Conrad of Poughkeepsie, Daughter And Son In-law, Jeanne And Edward Glick of Poughkeepsie, NY; Son And Daughter In-law, Paul And Maryellen Conrad of Poughkeepsie, NY; Grandson, Benjamin and his wife Michelle Turcan of Buffalo, NY; Grandson, Brandon Conrad of Poughkeepsie, NY; Granddaughter, Lyndsey AF Conrad of Poughkeepsie, NY; Great Grandchildren, Meda And Alex Turcan. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 14, 2011 from 5pm to 8pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, New York. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
