Obituary of Joann Daly-Goebel

Joann L. Daly-Goebel, 68, of the Town of LaGrange, passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at the Victory Lake Nursing Center. A lifelong area resident, she was employed as a clerk for the Town of LaGrange. She was a member of LaGrange Station #2 Ladies Auxiliary. Born in Poughkeepsie on Sept. 24, 1941, she was the daughter of Nelson and Hanna Smith Hicks. On May 10, 1991, in the Town of LaGrange, she married Donald L. Goebel. Mr. Goebel survives at home. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son and daughter in law, Steve T. and Barbara Daly of LaGrange; her daughter, Lisa Daly-Staats of New Paltz; her grandchildren, Michael, Ryan Shane, and Kaitlyn Daly and Charlotte Staats and a brothers, Donald Hicks of LaGrange and Robert Hicks of Red Hook. He was predeceased by a sister, Betty Plenzig and a brother, Alan Hicks. There are no calling hours. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
