Obituary of Rose V. Mocarski

Rose V. Dziuban Mocarski,93, of Poughkeepsie, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at St. Francis Hospital, Poughkeepsie. A lifelong area resident, she was employed in the Housekeeping Department at Marist College, she retired in 1992. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Church in Poughkeepsie. Born in Poughkeepsie on Feb. 8, 1916, she was the daughter of Felix and Rosetta Ofca. She attended Poughkeepsie schools. She married Peter Dziuban, Sr. in 1941, at St. Joseph's Church, he predeceased her in 1971. She then married Vincent Mocarski in 1993 at Mt. Carmel Church, he predeceased her in 1997. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Peter and Kathleen Dziuban of Poughkeepsie her granddaughter her her husband, Karin and Edward Arnold of Rockwood, Ontario; her great-grandchildren, Tucker and Mason Arnold; a sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Larry Kozlowski and a brother, Ed Ofca. She was predeceased by her three brothers, Theodore, Joseph and William Ofca and three sisters, Mary Bonney, Anna Pasquarreli and Helen Dolfinger. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, May 31, 2009 from 6 to 8 pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, June 1, 2009 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Poughkeepsie. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
