Obituary of Blanca FASOLINO

Blanca E. Fasolino, 72, of Pleasant Valley passed away at home on Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2009. A 40 year local resident, she was she previously resided in Corona, Queens. She was the owner of ILCompare Restaurant in Wingdale and had previously worked at JP Morgan and the Grand Union in Pleasant Valley. She was a member of Holy Trinity Church in Poughkeepsie. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren, and also loved to travel and cook. Born in Angeles, PR on April 7, 1937, she was the daughter of Eduardo and Magdelina Valentine Matos. She attended New Town High School. On Oct. 4, 1958 at St. Leo Church in Corona, Queens, she married Joseph P. Fasolino. Mr. Fasolino survives his wife at home in Pleasant Valley. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph E. and Babette Fasolino of Staatsburg; Michael A. and Linda Fasolino of Clinton Corners; daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Patrick O'Donoghue of Poughkeepsie; son and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Julie Fasolino of LaGrange; her grandchildren, Alison, Jospeh, Chelsea, Nicole, Nicholis, Michaela and Brianna Fasolino and Gabrielle and Patrick O'Donoghue and two brothers, Edward Matos and Joe Matos. Calling hours will be held on Friday, Aug. 14, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:45 a.m. on Aug. 15, 2009 at Holy Trinity Church in Poughkeepsie. Burial will follow at St. Peters Cemetery, Salt Point Turnpike, Poughkeepsie.
