Obituary of Diana Ferragamo

Diana Sophia Ferragamo (nee Diana Zoe Wiener) suffered a tragic fatal accident at her home in Poughkeepsie, Thursday, April 16, 2009. Diana was born in Knoxville, Tennessee early in 1968. A few months later the family moved to Asheville, North Carolina where she grew up, and thereafter it remained her home base. After graduating from Asheville High School she attended the Art Institute of Atlanta. Diana greatly enjoyed beautiful things, and loved the many exciting aspects of life. Nearly all the different jobs in her career involved working with and helping people. Diana was a certified nurses assistant and for several years worked in Asheville area nursing homes where she and her beloved Pomeranian dog were favorites with both residents and staff. More recently she lived in Poughkeepsie where she also enjoyed working with people, exploring areas of the northeast, and becoming acquainted with the region's culture, particularly its characteristic foods and customs. Diana is survived by her parents, Thais and Leonard Wiener, her brother Aaron, six aunts and many cousins spread around the country. She will be sorely missed but lovingly remembered particularly by her family and especially several special friends, Mark Cunningham, John DeSalvo, and Buddy Hill.
