Obituary of Mark Finkbeiner

Mark R. Finkbeiner, age 51, of Salt Point, NY died Sunday, April 17, 2011 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. He had been a local resident for 28 years, previously of Midland, Michigan. Mr. Finkbeiner was born May 15, 1959 in Bay City, Michigan, the son of the late Robert and Janet (Hahn) Finkbeiner. He married Karen A. Bennett on January 6, 1979 in Midland Michigan. Mrs. Finkbeiner survives at home. Mark was a graduate of Midland High School (1977) and attended Michigan Tech. He was a sales engineer for Johnson Control in Armonk, NY. He was a member of the Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church. He loved outdoor activities and loved to work on and restore cars. In addition to his wife Karen, Mark is survived by his mother Janet Haskell. Also surviving is his son and daughter-in-law Neil and Kathryn Finkbeiner of Ballston Lake, NY, his granddaughter Sophia Finkbeiner of Ballston Lake, his two brothers and sisters-in-law Jeffery and Kathy Finkbeiner of Cary, NC, Timothy and Fran Finkbeiner of Boise, Idaho and his sister and brother-in-law Leslie and Doug Hiltunen of Midland, Michigan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603 on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 from 4:00 – 8:00pm. The Funeral Service will be Thursday, April 21, 2011 at 11:00am at the Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Upton Lake Cemetery.
