Obituary of Patricia Haight

Patricia McGrath-Haight, 41, of the Town of Poughkeepsie, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009 at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital. She was employed as a Store Manager at Talbots,She was a member of the New Hackensack Reformed Church in Wappingers Falls. She passed away September 22nd at 9:30pm after fighting a courageous 19 month battle with Ovarian Cancer. She made her final transition enveloped in the love and comfort of her family and life long friends. She was a loving wife and mother with an infectious spirit that would light up the room. If you knew her you would know how easily she would make you feel, as if you had been her best friend forever. Born in Washington, DC on Feb. 15, 1968, she was the daughter of Francis J. and Joan E. Kamps McGrath. Her parents, of LaGrange survive her. On Oct. 23, 2004 in Poughkeepsie, she married Charles E. Haight III. He also survives his wife at home in Poughkeepsie. In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by her son, Charles E. Haight IV of Poughkeepsie; her sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Scott McGrath-Hammond of Highland and two nephews, Christopher and Benjamin Hammond. Calling hours will be held on Friday, Sept. 25, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie. Funeral services will be held on Sat., Sept. 26, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the New Hackensack Reformed Church,followed by a light lunch.
