Obituary of Scott Henkel

Scott J. Henkel, age 35, of Poughkeepsie, NY, died Sunday, November 14, 2010, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. Scott was born August 5, 1975 in Poughkeepsie, NY. He is the son of Ernest H. and Caralee A. (Frazer) Henkel. He was employed by Savage Transportation Management Inc. as a contractor for Metro North Railroad. Scott was a resident of Poughkeepsie all of his life. Scott graduated from Spackenkill High School and Marist College. He was selected for All-County in both baseball and soccer. He was an outstanding athlete in soccer, basketball and baseball. Scott dearly loved his family as well as Freddie and Taylor, the family pets. Scott is survived by his loving parents Caralee & Ernest Henkel of Rhinebeck, NY. Adoring sisters, Marilyn & partner Ronni Martin of New Hampshire, Jill & husband Jason Miller of Montana. Scott is also survived by nephews, Brendan and Ryan, and several Cousins, Aunt's & Uncles. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN, 38105, In memory of Scott for his love of children.
