Obituary of Mary King

Mary Emily Hinnrichs King, 91, a longtime resident of LaGrange, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2009 at the Pines Nursing Home in Poughkeepsie. She was retired from the New York State Department of Civil Service in 1980. She was a member of the Arlington Reformed Church. She was born in Glenham, NY on Feb. 20, 1918, the daughter of Sarah Catherine Way and Gerhard Hinnrich. On Dec. 13, 1936, she married John Henry King. He predeceased her on Aug. 29, 1982. Survivors include two daughters, Pamala Merrick of LaGrange and Nancy Clarson of Tom's River, NJ; seven grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held on Friday, March 6, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Fishkill Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
