Obituary of Margaret Macdonald

Margaret M. Macdonald, 70, a 40 year local resident, formerly of the Bronx, died unexpectedly with her family at her side, Thursday, May 21, 2009 at St. Francis Hospital in Poughkeepsie Ms. Macdonald was a Technician at IBM East Fishkill. She always loved doing things with her children and grandchildren. Everyone who knew her said she was a sweet, kind and lovable women. She never had a bad word to say about anyone. Born Oct. 2, 1938 in the Bronx, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Margaret Gilmartin Keane. She was a graduate of New York City schools. In 1964, in New York City, she married Frederick A. Macdonald. Mr. Macdonald died Jan. 29, 2004. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Debbie Macdonald of Poughkeepsie; daughter and son-inlaw, Tracie and John Schueren of Wappingers Falls; grandchildren, Corey and Conner Macdonald and Emma and Katie Schueren; sister and brother-inlaw, Peggy and Edward Leath of Huntington, Long Island; sister-in-law, Bunny Macdonald of Huntington, Long Island; and sister-inlaw, Pricilia Keane of Florida. She was predeceased by her brother, Eugene Keane. "Margaret's last gift was the gift of Life". Calling hours will be 4-6 p.m, Friday, May 29, at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie. Funeral services will be 6 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
